Day 138

I love dandelions. Over the weekend I was sitting in the dirt, planting orchid bulbs, and sharing a trowel with my mother, since we never manage to have enough gardening tools....While I was waiting for my turn, every little thing was suddenly fascinating, I picked up everything in reach, a slug, a pill bug, but mostly dandelions! I plucked some and petted some and dissected others. There's a stage in between the flower and seed stage that's just a clump of fluff...It's as soft as rabbit fur, and because it's not open yet, the seeds don't fly away.

Weeds are only weeds when you don't want them. Dandelions are always welcome in my lawn, any day. My bunny loves them too.
